SAP Business One Free Trial

Before you commit budget to an ERP implementation, you should know what you are buying — not from a brochure, but from 30 days of hands-on access to the actual product in a live cloud environment. SAP Business One's free trial gives you access to the full application — finance, inventory, purchasing, sales, production, CRM and reporting — with no installation required and no financial obligation.

The trial does two things a demo cannot. First, it lets your own users — the finance manager, the warehouse supervisor, the sales team lead — actually use the system for their real tasks, not watch someone else use it. Second, it reveals how SAP Business One fits your specific workflows, including the gaps and the customisations that would be needed, before any commitment is made.

2iSolutions sets up every trial as a guided evaluation — not a self-service instance you receive and never hear from again. Our consultants scope the trial to your industry and process, are available during the trial period to answer questions and explain functionality, and hold a structured review at the end to discuss findings and next steps.

What's Included

Six core modules — accessible from day one of your trial

The SAP Business One free trial gives you access to all core modules. This is not a stripped-back preview — it is the full application running on a cloud instance, configured for your industry, with sample data relevant to your business type.

Accounting & Financials

Chart of accounts, journal entries, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliation, multi-currency, financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and period-end close. Trial the complete financial management workflow including the India-specific GST tax calculation and posting if relevant to your business.

Inventory & Distribution

Item master, stock levels, goods receipt, goods issue, warehouse transfers, bin location management, serial and batch tracking, stock valuation methods (FIFO, moving average, standard cost) and reorder point management. Test how your current inventory process translates into SAP Business One.

Purchasing & Supplier Management

Purchase requisition, purchase order, goods receipt PO, AP invoice, supplier master management, three-way matching (PO vs GR vs invoice), landed costs, supplier payment scheduling and purchasing analytics. Evaluate how your procurement workflow maps to SAP Business One standard processes.

Sales & CRM

Lead and opportunity management, quotation, sales order, delivery, AR invoice and payment. Customer master, contact management, activity tracking, sales analysis and campaign management. Full order-to-cash process from first contact through invoice payment — the end-to-end sales workflow your team will use every day.

Production & MRP

Bill of materials, production orders, material requirements planning, work in progress tracking, production confirmations and production analysis. For manufacturing businesses, this is the most important module to evaluate — test your product structure and production workflow in the trial before making a commitment.

Real-Time Analytics & Dashboards

Cockpit dashboards with KPI widgets, interactive drill-down reporting, Crystal Reports for formatted output, query manager for custom data extracts and business intelligence reporting. Evaluate whether SAP Business One provides the management visibility your leadership team currently lacks from disconnected spreadsheets and legacy systems.

How to Try

Three ways to evaluate SAP Business One before committing

Different buying stages require different evaluation formats. A 30-minute demo answers "does this product exist and does it look right?" A guided trial answers "does this product work for my specific business?" Both are available and both are free.

🎬

Scoped Demo

A 45–60 minute session focused on your industry and process pain points — not a generic product tour. We ask what your current challenges are beforehand and configure the demo around those scenarios. Best for: initial evaluation when you are exploring options and want to see SAP B1 against your specific requirements.

🖥️

30-Day Free Trial

Full cloud access for 30 days with your team, guided by a 2iSolutions consultant. Test your actual workflows, involve the people who will use the system daily and reach a decision based on hands-on experience. Best for: businesses that are serious about SAP B1 and want to validate fit before scoping an implementation.

📋

Proof of Concept

A configured environment with your own master data, your own chart of accounts and your own workflows pre-built — essentially a prototype of your real implementation. Best for: businesses with complex requirements who need to validate specific functionality (multi-entity, advanced manufacturing, complex pricing) before committing.

Why 2iSolutions

Why a trial with 2iSolutions is more useful than a self-service instance

Scoped to Your Industry

A generic demo environment shows SAP Business One with generic data — a trading company's chart of accounts, generic item descriptions, sample customers that have nothing to do with your business. We configure your trial environment with industry-specific data and enable the modules that matter to your business type before you log in.

Consultant Available Throughout

Self-service trial accounts leave businesses exploring a complex ERP with documentation as their only guide. Our trial includes access to a consultant who can answer "why does this work this way?", explain configuration options, demonstrate functionality you might not discover independently and clarify what would need customisation in a real implementation.

Honest Gap Identification

Every ERP has processes it handles natively and processes that require configuration or customisation. We identify these gaps during your trial honestly — because a gap discovered after sign-off on an implementation is more expensive and frustrating than one identified during evaluation. A trial should tell you both what fits and what does not.

Structured End-of-Trial Review

At the end of the 30 days, we hold a structured review: what worked, what did not, what would need customisation, what the implementation scope and timeline would look like and what the total cost would be. The trial ends with a clear picture — not a vague sense that it "seemed OK" and a follow-up sales call.

Why 2iSolutions

21 years of SAP Business One delivery — your trial is guided by people who have implemented it hundreds of times.

A trial guided by consultants who have delivered 246+ SAP implementations gives you something a self-service product demo cannot: an honest assessment of fit, a realistic scope of what implementation would involve and the answers to questions you did not know to ask.

FAQ

SAP Business One free trial: questions we hear most

The standard trial period is 30 days — enough time to explore every module relevant to your business, run through your key workflows with your team, identify any gaps and reach a considered decision. If your evaluation requires more time — for example, if you need to complete a specific quarter-end process or a production cycle to evaluate the manufacturing modules properly — we can discuss an extension. The trial does not automatically convert to a paid subscription when it ends. At the end of the 30 days, we hold a structured review session and you decide independently whether to proceed with an implementation, extend the trial or conclude that SAP Business One is not the right fit. There is no pressure and no automatic billing.

Yes — the trial gives you access to the full SAP Business One application including financials, inventory, purchasing, sales, CRM, production/MRP and reporting. All core modules are accessible from day one. Some enterprise-specific add-ons (our ShopConnect manufacturing execution system, barcode integration, distribution management extensions) are separate products that sit on top of SAP Business One and are not part of the core trial — but we can demonstrate these separately if they are relevant to your evaluation. The trial runs on a cloud instance (SAP Business One Cloud) so there is no installation required and you can access it from any browser. The environment comes pre-loaded with industry-specific sample data — manufacturing sample data for a factory evaluation, distribution data for a wholesale trading business — so you are not starting from a completely empty system.

Yes — our trial is not self-service. A 2iSolutions consultant is assigned to your trial from day one and available to answer questions, walk through specific functionality, explain why something works the way it does and help you test scenarios relevant to your business. The support during trial is not a sales pitch — it is genuine product guidance from someone who has implemented SAP Business One many times and understands both its strengths and its limitations. We also provide access to SAP's own documentation and online resources, and can set up additional walkthroughs of specific modules if your team wants structured guidance on a particular area (for example, a dedicated session on production planning for a manufacturing business).

The most valuable trials we run follow this approach: in week one, involve your key users (finance, operations, sales leads) in module-specific walkthroughs focused on their daily processes. In week two, have those same users attempt to run their actual workflows in SAP Business One — not simulated data, but as close to your real process as possible. Document where the standard product handles things well and where it requires workarounds or customisation. In weeks three and four, bring questions — both the functional ones ("why does the stock valuation work this way?") and the strategic ones ("how complex would our GST setup be in a real implementation?"). The structured review at the end compares your documented requirements against what you experienced and produces an honest picture of fit. Trials that are treated as passive demos rather than active evaluations tend to produce vague conclusions; the more your team actually uses the product for their real tasks, the clearer the outcome.

The end-of-trial review produces two outputs: a fit assessment (what SAP Business One handles natively for your business, what requires configuration and what requires custom development or add-ons) and a scoping proposal (implementation phases, timeline, team involvement required and cost estimate). If you decide to proceed, the next step is a formal scoping session that goes deeper — mapping your processes to SAP Business One in a blueprint document, finalising the license mix (Professional vs Limited users), selecting deployment model (cloud or on-premise) and agreeing a project plan. The trial environment is separate from your production system — data entered during the trial does not carry forward automatically, but your master data structure (chart of accounts, item groups, business partner categories) informed by the trial is used as the starting point for the implementation blueprint.

Then the trial has done exactly what it should — saved you from a misaligned implementation. If the end-of-trial review concludes that SAP Business One's standard product has gaps that would require excessive customisation to close, or that the implementation cost significantly exceeds the business value given your current scale, we will say so directly. 2iSolutions also implements Odoo — a more flexible, lower-cost ERP platform that is a better fit for some business types, particularly service businesses, smaller trading companies and organisations with highly non-standard processes. If the trial reveals that SAP Business One is not right for you but another SAP product (such as SAP S/4HANA for a business that has grown beyond B1's scope) or Odoo would be a better match, we discuss that honestly. A trial is how both parties find out whether there is a fit — and a "no fit" outcome is a better result than proceeding with an implementation that is not right for the business.
