Not every international experience looks the same — and not every professional wants the same thing. We offer three structured assignment types, each with a different duration, scope of support and career implication. All three are real, recurring pathways — not theoretical options.

Visa & Work Permit Processing
Full visa application support, document preparation and liaison with immigration authorities for Canada, USA and Europe. We have experience with B1, L1, intra-company transfer and LMIA-exempt work permit pathways.
Accommodation Assistance
Accommodation is arranged or financially supported for the duration of the assignment — corporate apartments for short-term postings, assisted accommodation search for long-term and permanent relocation.
Pre-Assignment Briefing
Every assignment is preceded by a structured briefing covering the client background, project scope, team structure, cultural context of the destination country and practical orientation on local systems, banking and day-to-day logistics.
Compensation & Per Diem
International assignment compensation includes the base India salary plus international allowances, per diem for daily living costs and tax equalisation support — so the assignment does not result in a net financial disadvantage versus staying in India.
Flight & Travel Coverage
Return flights India–destination covered for all assignment types. Long-term assignments include periodic home visits (typically every 3–6 months). Business travel within the destination country for project purposes is fully expensed.
In-Country Support Network
2iSolutions has team members already present in Canada and other locations — so arriving consultants have a local contact from day one. We do not drop people into an unfamiliar country alone; there is always a 2iSolutions presence to connect with.
Health & Insurance Cover
International health insurance and emergency cover is arranged for the duration of every assignment — covering both the consultant and, for long-term assignments, accompanying family members where applicable.
Cultural Orientation
Practical cultural briefing covering client communication norms, workplace expectations, public systems (healthcare, banking, transport) and social context in the destination country — helping consultants settle effectively and quickly.
Who qualifies — and how the process works
International assignments are open to 2iSolutions professionals who meet the criteria below. The process from expression of interest to on-site start typically takes 4–12 weeks depending on the assignment type, visa requirements and client timeline.

International assignments: frequently asked questions
No — 2iSolutions arranges or financially supports accommodation for all international assignments. For short-term postings, a corporate apartment or serviced accommodation is typically arranged before departure. For long-term assignments, 2iSolutions provides financial support and practical assistance for finding suitable housing, including connecting you with local team members who can advise on neighbourhoods and practical options. For permanent relocation, we provide a relocation allowance and guidance through the settlement process, including connection with 2iResourcing in Canada who have extensive local knowledge.
Yes — for long-term and permanent assignments, family accompanying is supported. For Canada permanent relocation, spouse/dependent open work permits and dependent study permits are typically available alongside the primary work permit, and we assist with the dependent visa applications through our immigration support process. For long-term assignments (6 months+), family accompaniment depends on the work permit type and host country immigration rules — this is assessed case-by-case and we guide you through the specific options for your assignment destination.
Processing times vary significantly. Canada LMIA-exempt intra-company work permits (the most common pathway) typically take 2–6 weeks from application submission; PR pathways take longer depending on the stream. USA B1 business visitor visas can be 2–8 weeks depending on consular appointment availability; L1 intracompany transfers take 4–10 weeks (longer for USCIS premium processing cases). European work permits vary widely by country — UK Skilled Worker visas typically take 3–8 weeks; German work visas 6–12 weeks; other EU countries vary. We initiate visa processing as early as possible in the assignment timeline to avoid delays to the on-site start.
For short-term and long-term assignments, yes — you remain employed by 2iSolutions India and are posted to the international location. Your India employment continuity, PF contributions and benefits continue. For permanent relocation to Canada, the employment relationship typically transitions to 2iResourcing (the Canadian entity) once immigration status is established — this is managed as a seamless transition with no gap in employment or benefits. The specific employment structure for USA and Europe permanent relocations is discussed individually based on the destination and applicable laws.
The most frequently posted roles internationally are SAP S/4HANA functional consultants (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP), SAP Project Managers, SAP Solution Architects and senior ABAP developers. In Canada particularly, FI/CO and MM consultants with manufacturing industry experience are in the highest demand. For USA postings, S/4HANA implementation leads and SuccessFactors consultants are most common. For Europe, S/4HANA rollout consultants with multi-entity group consolidation experience and ABAP developers for BTP/integration work are regularly placed. Basis/HANA administrators are posted short-term for go-live support frequently.
