SAP Analytics Cloud Services

SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) is SAP's strategic analytics platform — combining business intelligence, collaborative enterprise planning and predictive analytics in a single cloud solution. It is the analytical front-end for S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, Datasphere and SAP Business Data Cloud — and the platform where SAP's AI-powered analytics capabilities land first.

2iSolutions delivers SAC across the full lifecycle: implementation and live connectivity setup, story and dashboard development, enterprise planning models, BEx query migration, predictive scenario configuration and ongoing SAC administration. As a SAP Gold Partner with 21 years of SAP BI delivery — from BEx and BusinessObjects through to SAC — our consultants understand both the platform and the data models underneath it.

BI, Planning and Predictive — what most organisations run as three tools, SAC runs as one

The strategic value of SAP Analytics Cloud is convergence. Dashboards, financial planning and ML forecasting share one data model, one security layer and one user experience — eliminating the export-to-Excel gaps where analytics projects typically fail.

Our Services

Six SAC service areas — from first connection to enterprise rollout

2iSolutions delivers SAP Analytics Cloud end to end: initial implementation and connectivity, content development, planning models, migration from legacy BI tools, AI feature enablement and ongoing platform administration.

SAC Implementation & Connectivity

Tenant provisioning, live connection setup to S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, Datasphere and HANA, import connection configuration for non-SAP sources, SSO and identity integration, role and security model design — the foundation every SAC deployment depends on.

Story & Dashboard Development

Executive dashboards, operational reports and self-service stories designed with your business — optimised story design for performance, consistent visual standards, mobile-responsive layouts and the calculation logic that makes numbers trustworthy.

Enterprise Planning Implementation

Planning model design — dimensions, versions, currencies and data actions. Driver-based planning logic, allocation processes, calendar workflow with approvals, and integration back to S/4HANA. We replace Excel-based planning cycles with governed, collaborative processes.

BEx & BusinessObjects Migration

Structured migration from BEx Query Designer, Web Intelligence, Analysis for Office and Crystal Reports to SAC — inventory assessment, priority classification, query re-creation on live models and phased user transition with training.

Predictive & AI Enablement

Smart Predict scenario configuration — churn classification, demand forecasting, regression models on business data. Smart Insights and Just Ask activation, Joule copilot rollout and predictive forecast integration into planning versions.

SAC Administration & Support

Ongoing SAC platform management — user and role administration, content lifecycle and transport management, performance monitoring, quarterly release feature adoption and user support. SLA-backed, aligned with our broader SAP AMS delivery.

Why 2iSolutions

What our SAC practice brings that generic BI consultancies don't

The Data Model Underneath

A SAC dashboard is only as reliable as the BW query or S/4HANA CDS view it connects to. Our consultants build both sides — the SAC story and the data model beneath it — which is why our dashboards perform and generic SAC-only builds often don't.

Every Generation of SAP BI

BEx, BusinessObjects, Lumira, Analysis for Office, and now SAC — 21 years across every SAP BI generation means our migration assessments are grounded in knowing exactly what your legacy content does, not guessing from documentation.

Planning That Actually Retracts

SAC planning projects fail at the integration points — retraction to S/4HANA, BPC coexistence, master data alignment. Our planning implementations are delivered by consultants who know the S/4HANA finance backend, not just the SAC front-end.

Adoption, Not Just Delivery

5,000+ users trained across our client base. A SAC rollout succeeds when business users actually build their own stories — our engagements include structured enablement, train-the-trainer programmes and self-service governance frameworks.

Delivery Credentials

SAC delivered by a team that has built SAP BI for 21 years.

From live connectivity architecture through planning models, predictive scenarios and enterprise rollout — 2iSolutions delivers SAP Analytics Cloud as a SAP Gold Partner with deep data-model expertise and a 5,000+ user training track record.

FAQ

SAP Analytics Cloud: questions we hear most

A live connection queries your source system (S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, HANA, Datasphere) in real time — data never leaves your landscape, results reflect the current state of the source, and source-system security applies automatically. An import connection copies data into SAC's own storage on a schedule — enabling data blending across sources and planning scenarios, but introducing latency and a second copy to govern. The general guidance: use live connections for SAP sources wherever possible (especially for regulated data), and import connections for non-SAP sources, blended models and planning. Most enterprise SAC deployments use both, and connection architecture is one of the first design decisions in our implementation engagements — getting it wrong causes performance and governance problems that are expensive to fix later.

For the vast majority of use cases, yes — SAC stories and the Data Analyzer cover interactive dashboards, formatted reporting and ad-hoc analysis. SAC is SAP's strategic analytics platform and receives quarterly feature releases; BEx and BusinessObjects are in maintenance mode. That said, a complete migration is a programme, not a project: organisations typically have hundreds of BEx queries and WebI documents, of which 30–50% are unused or duplicated. Our migration approach starts with an inventory and usage analysis — retiring dead content, consolidating duplicates and migrating what remains in priority order. Highly formatted operational reports (pixel-perfect invoices, statutory formats) may warrant Crystal Reports retention or an alternative approach, which we flag during the assessment rather than discovering mid-migration.

SAC planning is designed for exactly this. Planning models support versions (Plan, Budget, Forecast, Actual), driver-based calculations, allocations, currency translation and calendar-driven approval workflow — the full structure of an enterprise budgeting cycle, with the collaboration and audit trail Excel cannot provide. For SAP BPC customers: SAC planning is the strategic successor, and SAP provides integration paths for coexistence during transition. Data can retract from SAC plans back into S/4HANA for actual-vs-plan reporting. The realistic migration path from Excel is phased: start with one planning process (typically opex or headcount planning), prove the workflow, then extend to revenue and full P&L planning. We structure planning engagements this way deliberately — big-bang planning replacements have a poor industry success record.

No — that is the point of Smart Predict. It automates the machine learning pipeline (variable selection, model training, validation) behind three business-oriented scenario types: classification (will this customer churn?), regression (what will this deal close at?) and time-series forecasting (what will demand be next quarter?). A business analyst defines the question and the historical data; Smart Predict builds and explains the model, including which variables drive the prediction. Automatic forecasting is even simpler — a toggle on any time-series chart that projects forward with confidence intervals. What organisations do need is good historical data and someone who understands the business question — which is where our enablement approach focuses: we configure the first scenarios with your team, so your analysts learn the discipline of framing predictive questions correctly.

SAC is a core component of SAP Business Data Cloud — BDC bundles Datasphere, SAC, Databricks and Object Store into a single subscription, and going forward SAP will not sell SAC and Datasphere separately. If your organisation adopts BDC, SAC is included and your existing SAC content carries forward. BDC's Insight Apps are themselves pre-built SAC applications running on BDC data products. For organisations not yet on BDC, SAC continues to work exactly as before with existing subscriptions and connections. Practically: nothing about a SAC investment today is wasted in a future BDC adoption — the stories, models and skills all transfer. Our SAC engagements are designed BDC-forward: we architect connections and models in the pattern that maps cleanly onto BDC data products, so a future transition is a licensing change, not a rebuild.

In our experience, the overwhelming majority of SAC performance problems are design problems, not platform limitations — and they are fixable. The common causes: stories with too many widgets querying on open, BW queries returning excessive cell counts to live connections, missing filters forcing full data scans, over-complex calculated measures evaluated at render time and un-optimised CDS views behind S/4HANA live connections. Our SAC performance assessment profiles the story, the connection and the underlying query to identify exactly where time is spent — then remediates in order of impact: query redesign, story restructuring (splitting overloaded stories, lazy-loading tabs), filter strategy and, where relevant, data model changes. Typical outcomes bring multi-minute story loads down to seconds. This is offered as a standalone optimisation engagement for organisations with existing SAC deployments.
