Learning & Development

We promote a continuous learning and development environment at 2iSolutions. In an industry where SAP's product portfolio evolves quarterly — new cloud features, new BTP services, new AI capabilities, new compliance requirements — a static skillset is a declining one. Our L&D programme is built to keep every consultant and professional ahead of that curve, not catching up to it.

Learning at 2iSolutions happens in three modes simultaneously: on the job through project delivery, through peer mentoring and knowledge sharing, and through formal certification and training activities. The programme focuses on seven areas that persist in talent development — skills gap identification, programme engagement, career frameworks, global consistency, soft skills, company-specific insight and technology readiness.

Our Focus

Seven areas of unremitting talent development

These are the seven dimensions that our Learning & Development programme is built around — not aspirational categories, but active focus areas with defined programmes, owners and measurable outcomes for every 2iSolutions professional.

2iSolutions L&D Programme — Seven Pillars
Continuous development · Structured outcomes · Globally consistent
01

Identify and Assess Skills Gaps

We map every professional's current skills against the requirements of their role, their career level and the SAP capabilities their clients need — identifying specific gaps rather than assuming generic training will address them. Skills gap assessment is an ongoing activity, not a one-time onboarding exercise. As SAP's product portfolio evolves, the required skill map shifts; our assessment tracks with it.

02

Increase Engagement with Learning Programs

Learning that is mandated but not valued is not retained. We design programmes that professionals actively want to participate in — because the content is directly relevant to the projects they are working on, the certifications they are pursuing and the career progression they are aiming for. Engagement is measured, not assumed.

03

Develop Career Frameworks

Every 2iSolutions professional has a clear career framework — a documented progression path from their current level to the next, with defined competencies, experience requirements and assessment milestones. The framework removes ambiguity about what success looks like and what earning a promotion requires. Development conversations start from the framework, not from subjective impressions.

04

Provide Consistent and Valuable Learning Globally

A consultant in Noida and a consultant in Toronto should have access to the same quality of SAP training, the same knowledge base and the same career development support. Our L&D infrastructure is built for global delivery — digitally accessible, module-agnostic and consistent regardless of the region a team member operates in.

05

Train for Soft Skills

Technical SAP knowledge is necessary but not sufficient. The consultants who deliver exceptional client outcomes are also those who communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders, run effective workshops, manage scope conversations and earn trust quickly. Our soft skills programme covers client communication, workshop facilitation, stakeholder management, written communication and professional conduct — built for the specific context of SAP consulting, not generic business skills training.

06

Deliver Company-Specific Insights

21 years of SAP delivery has produced a knowledge base that no external training programme can replicate — implementation patterns that work in Indian manufacturing environments, configuration approaches for complex group structures, data migration techniques for large material master volumes, common customisation failures and how to avoid them. This institutional knowledge is codified, maintained and shared systematically across the team.

07

Understand the Impact of Technology & Automation

SAP Business AI, Joule, CAP on BTP, RISE with SAP, GROW with SAP, Signavio — the technology landscape our consultants work with changes faster than any fixed curriculum can track. Our technology readiness programme ensures every consultant understands not just what new SAP capabilities exist, but how they change the implementation approach, what they mean for client decisions and how they affect the skills our team needs to maintain.

What We Teach

Three learning tracks — functional, technical and leadership

Every 2iSolutions professional falls into one or more learning tracks — each with a defined curriculum, certification pathway and progression milestone. Tracks are not mutually exclusive; many of our consultants develop across functional and technical dimensions simultaneously.

Functional Track

SAP Functional Modules

Module-specific learning for SAP functional consultants — configuration depth, business process understanding, India localisation, reporting and end-user training delivery.

  • Finance & Controlling (FI/CO) — GL, AP, AR, AA, CCA, PCA
  • Procurement & Inventory (MM) — PR, PO, GR, Valuation, MRP
  • Sales & Distribution (SD) — OTC, Pricing, Credit, Billing
  • Production Planning (PP) — MRP, Prod Orders, Capacity
  • Quality, Maintenance & HR (QM/PM/HCM)
  • India GST, e-Invoice, TDS/TCS compliance
Technical Track

SAP Technical Development

Technical skills for ABAP developers, Fiori/UI5 engineers, BTP developers and Basis/HANA administrators — covering both classic SAP technologies and cloud-native development paradigms.

  • ABAP OO — objects, RAP, CDS views, AMDP
  • SAP Fiori / UI5 — custom apps, Fiori Elements, extensions
  • CAP on BTP — cloud-native SAP development
  • SAP Integration Suite — iFlow design and development
  • Basis & HANA Administration — HANA DB, transport, HA
  • SAP AI / Joule — Business AI activation and configuration
Leadership Track

Leadership & Soft Skills

People management, client relationship, workshop facilitation and strategic thinking — for professionals moving from individual contributor to team lead, project manager or practice lead roles.

  • Client communication and stakeholder management
  • SAP workshop facilitation and requirement gathering
  • Project management — Activate methodology, PMO
  • Team leadership and mentoring skills
  • Business development and pre-sales support
  • Written communication and documentation standards
How We Learn

Three modes of learning — happening simultaneously

Formal training is the most visible part of L&D — but it is not where most learning actually happens. Our programme explicitly designs for all three modes and treats each as a managed activity with outcomes, not an informal side effect of employment.

2iSolutions Learning Modes On-the-job · Peer · Formal — all three, all the time

On-the-Job Learning

The primary learning mode at 2iSolutions. Every project is a structured learning opportunity — not just a delivery vehicle. Junior consultants shadow senior consultants in client workshops; technical developers review and receive feedback on code from lead developers; project managers shadow senior PMs on complex engagements before running their own.

  • Structured shadowing on all client engagements
  • Documented knowledge transfer in every project
  • Retrospectives that capture what was learned, not just what was delivered
  • Stretch assignments that push consultants one level above their current experience

Peer Learning & Mentoring

Knowledge shared between peers and across levels — our 300+ consultant community is the richest learning resource available. Senior consultants who have delivered pharmaceutical batch management or complex ABAP performance tuning document what they know and mentor those who are learning it. Peer learning is structured, not accidental.

  • Formal mentoring pairs — senior consultant to junior
  • Internal knowledge sessions — consultants presenting to peers
  • Code review culture — every ABAP object reviewed before QA
  • Cross-module knowledge sharing — functional ↔ technical

Formal Training & Certification

Structured programmes with defined outcomes — SAP certification preparation, module-specific deep-dives, soft skills workshops and new technology orientation programmes. Formal training is coordinated with project cycles so consultants can apply what they learn immediately rather than letting it fade between the classroom and the project.

  • SAP Learning Hub access and certification support
  • Module-specific bootcamps before first project assignment
  • New SAP feature orientation — quarterly, as SAP releases
  • Soft skills workshops — facilitation, communication, writing
SAP Certification

SAP certification support — what we cover and how

As a SAP Gold Partner, 2iSolutions provides structured support for SAP certifications — not just access to study materials, but preparation time, exam cost support and the internal knowledge base that makes passing more likely than self-study alone.

Career Frameworks

How career development works at 2iSolutions — four stages

A career framework without clear milestones is just a list of job titles. Our framework defines what moving from one stage to the next requires — competencies, experience volume, certification status and demonstrated leadership — so development conversations are about evidence, not impressions.

01
Associate

Learning the module, shadowing delivery, building SAP fundamentals. Certification target set. First solo project contribution with supervision.

02
Consultant

Independent project delivery. Module certification achieved. Client-facing workshop participation. Second module learning begins.

03
Senior Consultant

Stream lead on projects. Mentoring Associates. Multiple module depth. Complex configurations and escalation resolution.

04
Lead / Manager

Project leadership. Practice area ownership. Pre-sales involvement. Team development accountability. Strategic client relationships.

FAQ

Learning & development at 2iSolutions: frequently asked questions

The first three months combine onboarding (2iSolutions systems, processes and culture), module-specific bootcamp learning (for consultants joining without prior SAP exposure in the required module), shadowing on a live project alongside a senior consultant and the beginning of SAP certification preparation. The first project contribution is supervised — you are not expected to configure independently before the knowledge base is built. By month three, most consultants have contributed to a live project with supervision and have a clear certification target and timeline. The balance between learning and delivery in the first three months depends on your prior SAP experience — experienced consultants onboard faster, early-career professionals have more structured learning time.

Yes — 2iSolutions covers exam costs for first attempts on SAP certifications that are aligned to the professional's current role and career track. Certification preparation time is structured into project schedules rather than left to personal time alone. We also provide SAP Learning Hub access, internal study group facilitation by certified colleagues and access to the internal knowledge base built from 21 years of SAP delivery. Retake costs for failed first attempts are evaluated case-by-case; consistently, the majority of first attempts pass when the preparation was structured through our programme rather than self-managed.

Every Associate and Consultant level professional is assigned a named Senior Consultant or Lead mentor at joining. The mentor relationship is structured — monthly one-to-one sessions, a shared development plan and the mentor's involvement in project assignment decisions that affect the mentee's growth. Mentors are not assigned randomly; they are matched by module expertise, career stage and, where possible, the projects the mentee is likely to work on. The mentor is accountable for the mentee's development progress, not just for being available when asked. At Senior Consultant level, the mentoring relationship shifts — you begin mentoring others while being mentored by a Lead or Manager on leadership and client management skills.

Yes — and we actively encourage it from Consultant level onwards. Many of the most valuable 2iSolutions consultants are FI/CO professionals who also know SD well enough to handle integration requirements, or PP consultants who understand MM deeply enough to manage the full supply chain scope on a project. Second-module learning is structured into the career framework from Consultant level — you will have a second module learning target in your development plan once your primary module is sufficiently stable. The specific second module is chosen based on what is most complementary to your primary and most valuable across the projects you are likely to work on.

SAP releases quarterly updates (for GROW/RISE) and annual major versions (for on-premise/private cloud). Our L&D team reviews every SAP release note and identifies capabilities relevant to our practice areas — whether that is a new Joule use case, a changed ABAP API, a new Fiori app in a module or a new BTP service. Within 4–6 weeks of each major release, an internal orientation session covers what changed, what it means for client advice and what skills need updating. For significant changes (like the AI/Joule expansion in recent releases), we run dedicated learning sessions and update the certification preparation materials to reflect the current SAP exam content.

Yes — consistent and globally accessible L&D is one of the seven focus areas of our programme explicitly because we operate across India, Canada, USA and Europe. The internal knowledge base, SAP Learning Hub access, certification support and career framework apply identically regardless of where a professional is based. Formal training sessions are delivered digitally as the norm, with in-person sessions available at India locations for hands-on configuration workshops. The mentoring programme matches by module expertise and time zone where possible — a Toronto-based consultant will have a mentor accessible in their time zone. The one area where location matters is international assignments, which are open to Senior Consultant level and above across all locations.
