We have an excellent 6 months contract opportunity with possible extension for a Patient Portal Solution Coordinator in Hamilton, Ontario.
Must haves:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in digital technologies within the health care industry.
• Extensive experience in solution quality assurance processes including user acceptance, conformance and regression testing
• Demonstrated experience in healthcare application support, with a superior ability to engage a cross-functional team and third -party vendors/stakeholders.
• Experience with Meditech, Cerner, EPIC Hospital Information Systems (HIS), Provincial Repositories or Solutions such as OLIS (Ontario Lab Information Systems) or CDR (Clinical Data Repository), Clinical Connect™ or other Health Portal Technologies
• Excellent Microsoft Office tools skills.

Job Title: Patient Portal Solution Coordinator Candidate
Location: Onsite, Hamilton, ON
Period: 6 Months (with an option in favour of HHSC to extend the agreement on the same terms and conditions for an additional (4) terms of up to six (6) months each).
Start Date: December – 2022
Working Hrs.: 7.50 Hrs./ Day (5 Days / week)

Position 1 – Patient Portal Solution Coordinator Candidate
The candidate must be an experienced individual in overseeing solution quality assurance processes including user acceptance, conformance and regression testing, as well as healthcare application support, with a superior ability to engage a cross-functional team and third party vendors/stakeholders. Previous experience with Meditech, Cerner, EPIC Hospital Information Systems (HIS), Provincial Repositories or Solutions such as OLIS (Ontario Lab Information Systems) or CDR (Clinical Data Repository), ClinicalConnect™ or other Health Portal Technologies would be preferred.
Extensive experience with solution lifecycle coordination and management as well as experience with integration of provincial, regional and local health service provider assets or clinical data repositories is preferred.
They must possess excellent Microsoft Office tools skills.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of experience in digital technologies within the health care industry including the creation and maintenance of systems development life cycle and operations documentation, with a University undergraduate degree in a related field.
Knowledge of the current Provincial Digital Health Landscape would also be considered an asset.

Role description
The Health Information Technology Services (HITS) eHealth Office at HHS manages a variety of services to support innovation and transformation of eHealth including strategic planning, stakeholder relations, communication, change management, business analysis, program management, training and privacy expertise. HITS is the solution provider responsible for operating ClinicalConnect™ , a secure web-based portal used by health care providers across south west Ontario, and the eHealth Office also acts as Change Agents, working with health service providers across the region to adopt digital health solutions. In addition, the HITS eHealth Office is also responsible for the implementation of regional facing patient access channels being made available in south west Ontario.

Reporting to the eHealth Program Manager, the eHealth Patient Portal Solution Coordinator will support the eHealth Program in the delivery of Regional digital health projects and initiatives ensuring strong project communications, documentation and reporting, throughout the delivery / lifecycles of various projects and program requirements, and act as the solution lead for the program’s ConnectMyHealth patient portal.

The eHealth Patient Portal Solution Coordinator will:
i. Support the coordination of eHealth Office programs and services as well as ongoing program development and measurable evaluation
ii. Draft and manage project and program management artifacts, such as status reports, action, issue, risk, decision reporting.
iii. Coordinate a variety of solution related information and metrics, and ensure ongoing accuracy of same
iv. Support the development of business cases, proposals, options papers, briefing notes and other program communications as required and maintain required operational resource materials
v. Ensure all documentation follows appropriate standards, is version controlled and loaded onto central program sites
vi. Follow-up on team member commitments and proactively identify risks.
vii. Maintain regional eHealth solution and program roadmaps
viii. Manage small work packages as required.
ix. Follow standard delivery methodologies
x. Coordinate with the eHealth Team members to ensure adherence to timelines, budget and stakeholder requirements.
xi. Monitor specific deliverables and timelines, communicate as an integral member of the team; and undertake issues and risk management coordination as assigned.
xii. Assist with stakeholder inquiries and coordinate action
xiii. Develop and mature ongoing program processes
xiv. Coordinate the activities of the program with interrelated activities of other programs, departments or organizations to ensure optimum efficiency and compliance with appropriate policies, procedures and legislation
xv. Support the development and maintenance of training and support documentation and related assets for distribution
xvi. Prepare written materials for use in presentations, meetings and final project documentation (as requested).
xvii. Review and prioritize issues; oversee application support ensuring timely resolution of identified issues by internal or vendor teams as appropriate
xviii. Participate in vendor support meetings to discuss issues and fixes.
xix. Manage solution scope, changes to requirements, and requirements conflicts.
xx. Review and monitor cross-project activities to identify risks, issues benefits and opportunities.
