We have a 6 month contract opportunity for a Junior Network Architect In Ottawa.

Work would be done remotely until the pandemic situation normalizes.

 

Must have:

  • Reliability level Federal Security clearance is mandatory
  • Experience with large enterprise rollout projects
  • Experience with networking technologies including WLAN, 802.11, security protocols, authentication systems
  • Strong Network and Network Security knowledge with expertise in TCP/IP, VLSM, Static Routing, Dynamic Routing, HSRP, VRRP, L2-VPN, Access Control List
  • Experience with supporting Wi-Fi enterprise systems with APs, Controllers and Associated Authentication servers
  • Experience with protocol tracing tools (i.e. Wireshark)

Description:   NOTE:

–    This role would be suitable for a recent graduate with relevant term/Co-Op/ internship experience.

–    Start date can be pushed as needed but resource who can start ASAP would be preferred

–    Hired contractor will start working remotely. However, when Innovapost resumes onsite work, contractor will have to work fulltime onsite as well. Hiring Team is open to receive resume of strong candidates from the Toronto market too.

–    If hired contractor is a right fit, there are potentials of temp-to-perm conversion after the initial mandate

–    Hiring Team is open to competitive market rate

 

This resource is required to support delivery of network integration, architecture requirements, test validation and documentation for the Retail Technology Modernization Project at Canada Post. The Project covers the Hardware and Software refresh at all 6000+ Postal Offices across Canada Request is for a 6 month engagement with the possibility of converting to a Full Time Role. This role would be suitable for a recent graduate with relevant work/Co-Op experience.

 

 

EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

Must Have:

  • Experience with large enterprise rollout projects
  • Experience with networking technologies including WLAN, 802.11, security protocols, authentication systems à
  • Strong Network and Network Security knowledge with expertise in TCP/IP, VLSM, Static Routing, Dynamic Routing, HSRP, VRRP, L2-VPN, Access Control List; à
  • Strong understanding on MPLS, VRF, BGP à
  • Experience with supporting Wi-Fi enterprise systems with APs, Controllers and Associated Authentication servers
  • Strong ability to methodically troubleshoot complex field issues, work with our QA team to reproduce and establish root cause à
  • Experience with protocol tracing tools (i.e. Wireshark) à

 

Nice to have

  • Experience with tickets tracking systems; Record, track and document IT service requests and incident reports, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution
  • Familiar with support/development tool set including JIRA, Confluence, etc.
  • Experience with Public Cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) Network; Cloud Connect (ExpressRoute, AWS Direct Connect, etc.) à Desirable
  • Solid Presentation skills (formal presentation, white boarding for large & small groups) à Desirable
  • Collaboration with different teams inside the enterprise to track change(s) in the network and understand (if) how the change(s) impact the current architecture
  • Familiar with Windows Server, Windows 10 Desktop and Android tablet network configurations
